DOUG: It’s really beautiful here. I’m Doug Simon CEO of Simon Media with Chip Wade and Chip where are we?
CHIP: We are actually standing outside the first completely interactive virtual show house. It’s created completely from scratch digitally, so it seems nice and sunny outside, but this is all created digitally. We have a full architectural floorplan both interior and exterior. It is a platform that is going to really extend our capability of being able to have user driven experience for the consumer.
DOUG: And what it’s also changing is how journalists are able to get video for brands, Chip is going to take us inside in a moment, but how quickly it’s changing. Earlier this week we were on the fifty seventh floor of a hotel transmitting with no wires to the outside world-all by cell phone and Wi-Fi. Chip why don’t you give us a quick tour inside?
CHIP: So now I’m controlling this all with my personal cell phone. You can also do this on your computer. We’re here in the kitchen. Now, notice all the interactive that we have here. We have product links, you can click on these specifications, even purchase ability straight from the interactive, even look at smart home tech. We’ve integrated interaction where you can actually play with lighting control, all inside this experience. So it’s incredibly user driven, and even for broadcast networks it allows more engagement in the experience itself. So as we walk around, look at all of the potential background plates for video content, and even customized user content that we can create for added value. And it’s just engaging, so even exteriors are beautiful design aesthetic. We can change even lighting scheme, if we come outside and even change the time of day. Right. So incredibly compelling there’s so many different things that we can do out here, to raise the level of what’s capable for visualization.
DOUG: And the 25 or so broadcasters you spoke to really like it. Now for brands it’s creating this interactive environment where they can be driving customers to learn, be educated, be engaged, and make their buying decisions right there.
CHIP: This is the ultimate call-to-action. It is a destination that is a nucleus for content creation. So it provides broadcast opportunities, it provides social content creation opportunities, video background plates, still imagery, and all customizable, being very dynamic in the moment, which allows brands to be able to not have to have everything figured out but have infinite flexibility.
DOUG: And we’re going to see more and more on broadcast news, we’re bringing the audiences into these environments that are being created as they become more popular. Thanks so much for being with us.
