D S Simon Media helps clients get their stories on television, through satellite media tours and by producing and distributing video content to the media. We also produce virtual events for fundraising, panel discussions and awards programs. Our clients include top brands in healthcare, travel, consumer goods, entertainment, technology, retail as well as leading non-profits. D S Simon produces satellite media tours that air on TV stations across the country for leading brands and non-profits. The firm also produces live video for social media events and provides news stations with video to help them cover important stories. Established in 1986, we have won more than 100 industry awards.
Job duties include but are not limited to, preparing proposals and contracts, assisting with client service initiatives and research, CRM database maintenance and customization, appearing on camera in marketing videos, supporting marketing plans and helping support the team on sales initiatives.
Candidate must be proactive, as well as possess excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks, while working well under pressure. Tasks can vary greatly throughout the day and we’re looking for someone who can adapt quickly to the changes, as well as have an understanding of traditional, social and digital media landscapes. Must be a creative problem solver. Knowledge of Salesforce CRM platform is very helpful.
Location
Remote / New York City. We have a hybrid system in which vaccinated people are available to use the office. While some training will require you to be on site, you will have the option to work remotely.
Requirements
Recent graduate with compelling internships or 1-2 years of experience plus an interest in learning and building a career in media.
Job Responsibilities
- Working with the sales team to develop proposals and contracts for new business opportunities
- Assisting the teams with creating materials for new business presentations
- Reviewing analytics from the company sales database to identify new opportunities and potential campaigns
- Reviewing industry trades for potential opportunities and partnerships
- Booking and coordinating interview guests for the company’s video series
