Pauline Horwits, Account Supervisor at MSL Group was interviewed by Nicholas Kost Influencer Marketing Account Executive at D S Simon Media. They spoke about Pauline’s big career break, advice she offers to people starting out and the best advice she ever received from a mentor or older colleague.

NICK: Hi I’m Nicholas Kost Account Executive at D S Simon Media and I’m here with Pauline Horwits from MSL Group who’s just been announced as a 15 Under 35 winner. Congratulations. So Pauline could you tell me you know a key moment in your career that has led to your success down your own career path?

PAULINE: Yes I used to work in celebrity PR and movies. So I kind of launched a really small movie called Tom at the Farm and got them a full page spread on EW which was really exciting. My first print piece so it solidified my interest in PR.

NICK: Yeah definitely. It’s very cool. Can you share a little piece of advice for maybe the younger generation that’s entering the industry right now?

PAULINE: Definitely stay hungry. It’s really competitive. It’s really hard. It will be long hours but it’s worth it once you decide that it’s something you really want to pursue.

NICK: Maybe a piece of advice that you were given from a colleague or a mentor that’s really shaped your career and helped you down the line?

PAULINE: Never take no as a first answer kind of think creatively. Are there other ways to kind of approach something before really closing the box on that first idea.
